Liability Waiver
By booking services with Tahoe Cuties Pet Professionals (“Provider”), I, the undersigned (“Client”), understand and agree to the following:
1. Health & Safety
• I confirm that my pet(s) are up to date on required vaccinations, including rabies.
• I confirm that my pet(s) are free from contagious illness at the time of service.
• I agree to disclose all medical conditions, medications, allergies, and behavioral concerns in advance.
2. Emergency Care
• I agree to provide accurate emergency contacts and a preferred veterinarian.
• In the event of illness or injury, Provider will attempt to contact me and/or my emergency contact immediately.
• Provider will seek care from my designated veterinarian if feasible.
• If my veterinarian is unavailable, or immediate care is required, I authorize Provider to use the nearest available veterinary facility.
• I accept full financial responsibility for all veterinary costs incurred.
3. Behavioral Risks
• I acknowledge that pets may act unpredictably.
• I release Provider from liability for injury, loss, or damage caused by my pet(s) to persons, animals, or property during care.
• I am financially responsible for any damages my pet(s) may cause to third parties, other animals, or property.
4. Property Access
• If services take place at my home, I grant Provider permission to enter solely for the purpose of caring for my pet(s).
• Provider will take reasonable care but is not responsible for unavoidable accidents, minor damage, or issues beyond their control.
5. Illness & Exposure
• I understand there are inherent risks of illness or injury when pets interact with other animals or environments.
• Provider is not responsible for illnesses, parasites, or conditions contracted despite reasonable care and precautions.
6. Backup Care
• I authorize Provider to arrange for a trusted substitute sitter or walker if necessary due to illness, emergency, or unforeseen circumstances.
• Substitute care will be provided under the same terms and conditions outlined in this agreement.
7. Weather & Transportation
• I understand that severe weather or conditions may delay or prevent services, including:
– snow
– ice
– wildfire
– evacuation orders
– road closures
– natural disasters
• Provider will make reasonable efforts to reach my pet(s).
• I will not hold Provider liable for delays, missed visits, or service interruptions caused by conditions beyond their control.
8. Leash & Safety Equipment
• I agree to provide secure, properly fitted collars, harnesses, and leashes appropriate to my pet.
• Provider is not responsible for escape or injury resulting from faulty, ill-fitting, or damaged equipment provided by Client.
9. Multi-Pet / Household Rules
• Provider is not responsible for illness, injury, or conflict resulting from interactions between pets within my household.
• Provider is not responsible for interactions with guest animals not under Provider’s care.
10. Photos & Updates
• Provider may photograph pets during care for client updates and promotional use.
• Photos will not include identifiable home information.
• Clients may decline promotional use by notifying Provider in writing.
11. Keys & Security
• Provider agrees to safeguard all keys, lockbox codes, and entry details.
• Provider is not responsible for lock malfunctions, alarm system failures, or home issues beyond their control.
12. Limitations of Liability
• Provider is not liable for injury, escape, loss, or death of pet(s) beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to:
– natural disasters
– accidents
– theft
– acts of other animals
– unforeseen events
• I release Provider from any and all claims except those arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
13. Payment & Cancellations
• I agree to pay all fees as outlined in the Payment & Cancellation Policy.
• I understand that deposits, cancellations, late cancellations, and no-shows are governed by the published policy.
14. Overnight Services
• Overnight care includes evening and morning care within a standard arrival and departure window.
• Extended daytime care is available for an additional fee.
By booking services, I acknowledge that:
• I have read and understood this agreement.
• I agree to all terms and conditions listed above.
• This agreement applies to all current and future bookings unless updated in writing.
